History of Reclaimed Energy

Reclaimed Energy Co., Inc. was founded in December, 1980 in Connersville, Indiana by the management team from Superior Oil Company, Inc. Reclaimed Energy's mission remains to provide quality solvent recycling for Superior's customers.

Since 1980, Reclaimed Energy has continued to modernize the facility at 1500 Western Avenue. We have installed a fire suppression system, two boilers, two thin film evaporators, three fractional distillation columns, a molecular sieve, a waste tank farm with a deluge system and stainless steel storage tanks for finished products and a thermal catalytic oxidizer attached to the vapor recovery system.

Reclaimed Energy Co., Inc. is on its third renewal of the Part B permit received in October 1990, and is working on becoming ISO 14000 certified. We continue to be committed to sound environmental stewardship.
